SPRING’ING BACK!

Lots of Ham Radio events are starting back up now that most places are reopening.

ECHOLINK/REPEATER NOTE

PLEASE NOTE!

The K0JEB-R node that was connected to the repeater we operate on (W1NLC/146.67) has moved to 147.06 (W1DX).

A new node K0JEB-L has been linked to 146.67.

Also, our previous Alternate Repeater (W1NLC/146.97) has been transitioned to Digital. We will now operate 147.470 simplex as a backup frequency.

 

HEATING UP

Since the weather decided to heat back up, so will the announcements!

#5 – Just a quick note that we are back on the Groton 146.67 repeater as the primary.

#6 – Do not forget about the TIPS Net – every Wednesday at 7PM on the 147.06 repeater! There have been a lot of very interesting and helpful discussions.

#7 – The weekly casual Ham Breakfast on the weekends has been scheduled!

COOL DOWN

As the weather begins to cool down….. *cough*….. I said COOL DOWN……. AHEM…..

Well anyways here are some quick updates:

#1 Work is going to be done on the Waterford repeater so keep the Groton repeater on your mind if you dont hear us!

#2 There is a Technician class scheduled for this fall.

Wednesdays, Sept 12- Nov 14 (~10 weeks)

JUNE REMINDERS

Sorry for the late posting of this, but…. *deep breath*

JUNE 7 UPDATE: HE Net will now be on 97 as the primary and 67 as the backup.

When work or other conditions affect the 97 repeater to the point where it cannot be used, we will switch back to 67.

Waterford – Tri City Amateur Radio Club at Jordan Greene Park

REMINDERS: The TIPS Net is back in action. Join them on the 147.06 repeater in Salem on Wednesday evenings (June 6, 13, 20, 27)  at 7PM. The current backup for the net is the Waterford repeater 146.97.

Also, don’t forget the ARES REGION 4 DMR net happening the first Wednesday of the month (June 6) at 8:30PM local on the ARES DMR network talkgroup TAC 4.

TIPS NET

WHAT: The Training Information and Public Service (TIPS) Net

WHO: The Tri-City Amateur Radio Club invites all amateurs

WHERE: 147.060 repeater in Salem (positive input with 156.7Hz tone)

WHEN: Every Wednesday starting May 23, 2018

WHY: This will be a net where amateur radio related questions may be asked, and will be especially suitable for those new to the hobby. Any questions people would like to submit in advance should be either emailed to tricityarc@gmail.com or mailed to Tri-City ARC, PO Box 552, Groton CT 06340.
